Habitat for Humanity:
We unite people of all races and religions to build houses in partnership with families in need. Our goal is to eliminate poverty housing. We seek to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action.
Mary Mother has been invited to participate in building with Habitat for Humanity under the title “City Council Catholic Partnership 2010”. We will partner with 10 other parishes in our area for this year’s build. We will be building in the neighborhood just north of downtown St. Louis in the area of Crown Candy Kitchens.
We are collaborating with the "Old North St. Louis Restoration Group" in order to compliment the existing homes in this area. Further information can be found on the Habitat for Humanity website.
The day begins at 8:00 am and usually concludes around 3:00 pm.

This is our fifth year in the program and I think I can speak for all those who have volunteered when I say it is an uplifting experience.
Men and women, young and old(er), skilled and novice...all can contribute in this wonderful experience.
