The primary goal of the Mary, Mother of the Church Tithing Program is to assist agencies, persons, and/or programs that directly contribute to the needy and indigent in the form of food, clothing, shelter, and/or medical attention.

However, the Church’s mandate to foster a “preferential option for the poor” and the recognition of the universality of our religion, urge that other, secondary goals exist.  To these ends, consideration will also be given to those programs. educational and advocacy, which are aimed at breaking the cycle of poverty both at home and abroad.

Because of Mary Mother’s Redemptorists heritage, special consideration will be given to requests which meet the above goals when received from St. Alphonsus Liguori “Rock” Church.  Special consideration will also be given to requests made by current parishioners on behalf of worthy causes of which they are aware.  Special consideration is also given to agencies that do not have extensive outside community financial resources.
